Message: I recently signed up for my electric utility company's "Time of Day" power plan where Peak Power rates are between 2:00pm and 5:00pm, weekdays, all other hours and weekends are "Off Peak". Is there a way that I can control when the VS520SZ engages the heating/circulating to avoid running during the Off Peak times? Perhaps adding a timer such as is used on domestic hot water heaters into the circuit? If this might be an option, would you have a schematic available as to where to insert the control into the wiring? Thanks for any help that you can provide!

I should have said: " Is there a way that I can control when the VS520SZ engages the heating/circulating to avoid running during the ON Peak times?"

Jon the Balboa EL2000 retrofit kit is the system you want. It has full 24 hour programmable time of day such that you can ensure it does not come on during peak power rates. Dan
