Sean I assume you have about 4 jets?  If so the 1.5 HP hot tub pump 220 VAC would be the recommended replacement pump.  You can click on the link to see the spec.  It is $265 from our store plus shipping.  Alternatively you could go with a two pump system.  The 1st pump is just a jet pump.  This would only come on when you start your jets.  The 2nd pump is small 1/8 HP circulation hot tub pump.  This pump is used when the hot tub is heating the water and filtering the water and is controlled by your spa pack.  The Balboa VS501 can work with either a 2 speed pump or a jet pump and a circulation pump.  The advantage of the circulation pump is that it consumes less energy than a 2-speed pump.  Dan
