Dolphin waterproof Remote

I have a non-Balboa Spa and I want to be able to control my TV, DVD, that is within 10 feet of my spa.  Will this remote work without any additional components?  Is it backlit?  The area around the spa is very dark and I currently have issues using my current non-backlit remote?

Balboa's information is not clear what manufactures, parts and codes the unit can support.  We certainly don't know.  I wouldn't want you to buy one and then find that your Tv isn't on the list.  best phone Balboa Technical Support directly and hear it directly from them. I don't think it is completely Universal.
